Free 30 Minute Massage at Il Salviatino in Florence, Italy

Il Salviatino is a unique property, an aristocratic Florentine villa, with a personality we had to protect. During the restoration, the Villa revealed so many surprises: extraordinary frescoes hidden underneath a false ceiling, a sarcophagus belonging to a previous owner born again as a spectacular bath in a guest suite and an intricate network of old pathways through the estate buried for years by the undergrowth. Each step has been an exciting and breathtaking journey.

Throughout the project, we endeavored to maintain the integrity of the Villa and to be true to its history. We relied heavily on local artisans and watched with fascination the painstaking processes of washing and replacing centuries-old mosaics, the re-paneling of the old library and the careful restoration of glass houses which have been empty for decades.

We believe in creating a truly unforgettable experience. The addition of Service Ambassadors to cater for guest’s every whim from beginning to end will be an integral part of the experience. We understand not only how impactful first and last days can be but also the days’ in-between…

Our guests know who they are, what they want and what they don’t want. They’ re culturally aware, passionate and sophisticated. We will offer them a taste of something quite different and forever memorable.

Now the Villa has been restored to its original splendor and we hope it reflects our ceaseless passion for art, history and beautiful things but most importantly a warmth and hospitality for which we in Italy are well known.

L’Andana in Castiglione della Pescaia, Italy

L’Andana, former residence of Leopold II, Duke of Tuscany, has become a refined hotel, spread out at the foot of hills bearing centuries-old olive groves and vineyards. An ideal place for ultimate relaxation. L’Andana perfectly illustrates elegant “art de vivre” in Tuscany. L’Andana is located in the Maremma region, near the Tuscan coast, facing the Island of Elba. The cities of Florence, Siena, Pisa as well as many other major historical, archaeological and cultural sites are in the vicinity.

The hotel is located on the 500-hectare estate of Tenuta La Badiola. Wine and olive oil are produced on-site and guests can also enjoy traditional Tuscan cuisine, based on regional products as well as excellent seafood, designed and interpreted by Alain Ducasse with simplicity and authenticity. The hotel consists of two edifices: the Villa and the Fattoria. The 33 accommodations, refined and distinctively appointed, were decorated by a talented Italian architect named Ettore Mocchetti. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, from 32 to 84 square metres, with a beautiful view over the Tuscan countryside. Most rooms and suite bathrooms feature a fireplace. The Villa has 2 Prestige Suites, 1 Superior Suite and 6 Deluxe Rooms. The Fattoria has 2 Prestige Suites, 2 Superior Suites, 6 Junior Suites, 5 Deluxe Rooms with mezzanine, 7 Deluxe Rooms and 2 Superior Rooms.

The main restaurant offers traditional Tuscan cuisine: demanding, yet simple and authentic. It relies on the purity and balance of the ingredients, and gives the ultimate refinement of subtle conjugations. The wine list, drawn up by Gérard Margeon, the Alain Ducasse Group’s sommelier, includes the best nectars in the Italian wine palette. Cooking classes with our chef are available on request. L’Andana is equipped with a heated outdoor Jacuzzi pool in the Villa garden, and the main outdoor swimming pool is next to the Fattoria. Bicycles are available on request, and by the end of 2006, a beautiful 9-hole golf course will be open. The intimate and exquisite Spa will provide guests of L’Andana with the ultimate in pampering and pleasure plus fitness and vitality.
